About Hold My Memories
We collect memories.Unfortunately, most of us don’t organize them! We often start with a baby book that our mother put together. May be we have a scrapbook of our accomplishments growing up. Usually we end up with a shoebox full of old photos, videos, artwork, report cards, and other assorted moments of our lives.

Having a family of my own, I wanted to put together a site that would hold all of my family’s memories in one place. Whether it is video from my son’s birthday, my daughter’s recital, a family vacation, photos from a get together with friends, or a saved voicemail from my youngest child–I cherish these memories.

My career has been spent in the photography side of the memories business. I started as a "party pic" photographer in college, later becoming a franchisee in a large glamour studio chain, and moving on to start a chain of family portrait studios.

Our studios photograph all types of sessions; maternity, newborn, children, glamour, and family sessions just to name a few. I cherish being in a business that captures so many important moments in our client's lives.

Over the last several years I have watched our business change. With digital technology, the way I (and our customers) capture and share memories has changed. Our studios still provide great portraits; however, in addition to the traditional prints that our clients hang on their walls, today we are all sharing our memories electronically-via email, websites, social networks, and photo and video sharing sites-in essence scattering our images in electronic versions of the "shoeboxes" we used in the past!!

Have you ever wanted to share a memory, but couldn’t get to it because that video you took was in a box somewhere–or maybe the photo you wanted to share was stored on your hard drive at home? We have your solution.

We designed HoldMyMemories.com to give families one place to hold their memories. A place you can access from virtually anywhere. Let me show you.

Why HoldMyMemories.com?
There are a lot of social networking sites out there; MySpace, FaceBook, and Linkedin just to name a few. These are great sites for high school students, college kids, and business associates to connect, but may not be the best way for families to share memories.

We wanted to develop a site that would become the social networking site for moms and families - a site that would hold and organize all your favorite memories!!

You also have many choices when it comes to storing your photos and videos online. Some of these sites are great storage mediums, but may not be the best for organizing and sharing. We created HoldMyMemories.com to be a place for families like ours to hold, organize, and share those important family memories.

A HoldMyMemories.com site is organized by "chapters." Each family member can have a chapter. There can be a chapter for family vacations and family holidays. Inside each chapter are subchapters. My daughter, for example, has a chapter named "Reagan" (click on the photoflow below to see our family’s chapters).

She has a subchapter for her birthdays, a subchapter for her recitals, and a subchapter for her artwork.

Reagan's Artwork

As she grows, we will add more subchapters to organize those special moments in her life (sports, school, friends, etc).

We can upload photos, video, and audio to Reagan’s chapter. I can write a journal entry for any event, memorializing that moment.

In twenty years, when Reagan has a family of her own, she will be able to view her saved artwork, watch a video of one of her dance recitals, see her friends at her birthday parties, and read her mother and my journal entries that mention how proud we are of our little girl as we watch her grow up!!

Some of our memories we make public and some we keep private. We can share our family’s public memories with friends and family, and they can leave a message in our guestbook creating even more memories for my family to cherish.

Please take a moment to tour our site. See how we capture memories in my family.

Thank you,
